Hang around with Nikki and Leo for a few minutes, and you will know that they are SO made for each other. My team and I were so happy when they asked us to be a part of their destination wedding on Bald Head Island, because we knew it was going to be a blast! We arrived on Friday afternoon in Southport and rode the ferry over to the island. Once the ferry docked, we took the tram to the lighthouse for Nikki and Leo’s “first look” and bridal party pictures. After that, we rode golf carts over to the beach for more pictures. Getting these shots the day before their wedding really made their wedding day relaxing.
Their wedding at the Bald Head Island Club was full of amazing DIY details (Nikki and Leo hand-made their “message-in-a-bottle” invitations and Leo hand-made all of the little beach chair place cards, to name only a couple things). Leo’s mom, the wonderful Italian woman she is, baked lots of assorted pastries for dessert. All of Nikki and Leo’s guests enjoyed their beach wedding and danced into the night at their fabulous reception. I’ll admit, it was hard to leave this beautiful island, but at least we have these pictures as great memories!

Nikki’s brother wore a kilt to the wedding. He lives near relatives in Scotland, so this was to represent his family’s heritage.
