Lately I have been preoccupied, and haven’t been blogging as much as I would like. Last week my dad was rushed to the hospital because of heart problems. It definitely caught me and my family off guard, and we have been right next to him every step of the way. When the doctor came in and told us my dad has only been using 14% of his heart, our jaws dropped. How can someone live using only 14% of their heart? That’s what we asked the doctor. His response was, “well, most people can’t”. Immediately everyone in the room started to freak out, except my dad. He looked at the doctor and said, “well that’s not good news” in a joking manner. That’s who my dad is. He’s like a jet going mach 3, and when something goes wrong, he just switches to auto pilot and moves right along at the same speed in the same direction. His next response to the doctor was “now that we have found the problem, let’s solve it”. He’s going in for surgery today. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
