Anna and Josh celebrated their daisy & yellow themed wedding in early June at Peace Presbyterian Church followed by a lovely reception at The Church of the Good Shepherd. See their story about how they met and fell in love (below the pictures). Best wishes Anna and Josh!

In Anna’s words:
Josh and I never really “met”…we were just both there, existing, at the same time and very separately for almost 12 years. I don’t know what you’re supposed to call that…growing up together? But we weren’t really “together”…because we didn’t give a rip for each other during that whole time. I knew his first and last name, that he was really big, and that he played the drums. And that was the extent of our relationship. Our friendship flowered a bit during our high school years; we talked a few times. Our conversations routinely revolved around one of three subjects: 1) snowboarding, 2) water skiing or 3) the location of the weekly Peace youth group Sunday night dinner (during which I advocated for Bojangles…usually unsuccessfully). Having committed myself to no dating while still in high school, Josh politely waited ‘til the week of my graduation to call and ask if we could get coffee sometime. Just to clarify, getting coffee did not fall under the realm of either eating or skiing, so naturally this unknown territory intimidated both of us. I, of course, chose to handle it well by creating excuses for a solid 2 weeks. It turns out “get coffee” is code for: “I’d like to date you” which came out shortly thereafter. We both agreed there was a need to spend more time together before any official decisions were made and, naturally, this goal was achieved by more frequent trips to Jordan Lake. To sum it up: this relationship began on jet skis and wakeboards. The rest is history.
