Goodbye MapQuest, hello Mr. Garmin!

Who out there uses MapQuest? Does it ever take you on the wrong route? About a month ago, I had an engagement session, let’s just say in the middle of nowhere. Driving on a two way road with nothing but beautiful cow pastures on both sides, I was really getting pumped. I thought, this is going to be awesome! Well, about thirty minutes later I wound up at the end of a dirt path looking at an old broken down shack. The first thought that came to me was some looney tune was going to bust out of the front door with a chain saw and a leather bag over his head. Needless to say nothing happened and I did arrive to the shoot on time, and it was awesome…but if I had my Garmin with me I would have made the right turn 10 miles earlier.

So a few nights ago I’m out to eat with my sister, and I break the news to her about the Garmin. Waiting for a great response, she looks at me like I am crossed-eyed, and says what world have you been living in?!  I laughed, and was like I know I have been putting it off for quite some time now. So if you’re on the road a lot like I am, go and get one, I promise you it will be a great investment!
